In summer 2022, we launched our new vision for cultural and higher/further education partnership

As champions of the importance of collaborative work between education and culture, we welcome this new vision from Culture Forum North. We know that partnership working can bring with it a diversity of voices leading to innovation in research, skills development, and civic leadership – all of which will play a significant part in helping us to deliver ‘Let’s Create’, the Arts Council’s 10-year strategy. Darren Henley, Chief Executive, Arts Council England

Culture Forum North is well-placed to deliver the vision.  We enable partnerships to develop through a unique ‘third space’ where our sectors meet equitably to share excellence, ambition and collaborative ideas.

We will support and work closely with institutions, communities and sector bodies regionally and nationally, to increase understanding, share best practice, and achieve long-term impact.

Our new vision is informed by a comprehensive literature review and live case studies of partnerships and partnership activity between 2019 and 2021.

This work has been developed in collaboration with the Midlands Higher Education & Cultural Forum and the South East Cultural Innovation Forum, and is fuelled by consultation with cultural organisations, higher/ further education institutions, and with sector leaders, networks, institutions, and funders nationally.
